The Long Beach State guard led the Big West in both assists and minutes played this past season.

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State guard Devin Askew was named Honorable Mention All-Big West, the only player from the Beach recognized as the conference office announced the winners on Tuesday.

Askew was an all-around threat for Long Beach State, scoring 18.9 points per game in all competition and raising that to over 20 points per game in Big West play. Not just a scoring threat, however, Askew averaged 4.6 rebounds per game, third on the team and led both the Big West and the Beach in assists at 4.6 per game.

Rarely coming out of a game, Askew led the Big West in minutes played this season and was among the nation's leaders in minutes percentage this season.

His efficiency while getting that many minutes on the floor led to big numbers on the year. Twice scoring more than 30 points, including a career-high 35 points at Cal Poly, Askew scored double figures in every game he played this season for Long Beach State and wrapped the season with 604 points scored, the ninth-most in program history.

A senior, Askew has one year of eligibility remaining.
