
Jasmine Leovao Leads Beach Women’s Golf After Day Two At The Alice and John Wallace Women’s Golf Classic

The junior is in the Top 10 after a one-under par 70 on day two.
PALM DESERT, Calif. – The Leovao twins each finished with one-under par rounds of 70 Saturday at the Alice and John Wallace Women's Golf Classic, leading Long Beach State on the second day of their home tournament.
Day Two Results
Jasmine Leovao recorded a second straight round of 70 at the Monterey Country Club in Palm Desert, improving to two-under through 36 holes and moving into a tie for seventh place overall. Janae Leovao's 70 helped lift the junior 12 spots into the Top 20 in a tie for 18th place, one-over par for the tournament.
The efforts of that pair highlighted the day for Long Beach State, who closed day two in eighth place overall after a 296 team score on Saturday. Madison Le shot a 76 to finish in third for the Beach, while Erin Lee was the team's fourth scorer with a day two 80.
Competing as an individual in her first full tournament with LBSU, sophomore Isabelle Olivas-Lowell carded a 76. Individual Kristina Ponomareva and Hannah Jugar each shot 87 on Saturday.
No. 5 Oregon leads the team competition at 16-under par, as well as the individual competition as Kiara Romero is 6-under, one stroke ahead of second place and four strokes ahead of Jasmine Leovao prior to the final day.
The Alice and John Wallace Women's Golf Classic finishes with a third and final day on Monday. Teams will tee off at 8:30 a.m. from Monterey Country Club with live scoring provided through SCOREBOARD at https://scoreboard.clippd.com/tournaments/233212/scoring/team.
