Beach track and field announces packed 2026 season across indoor and outdoor campaigns.

LONG BEACH, Calif.- Long Beach State Track and Field has announced the full schedule for the 2026 Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field seasons.

The indoor season will begin Jan. 30-31 at the New Mexico Team Open. Long Beach State will conclude the regular season on Feb 13-14 when they travel to the Jarvis Scott Open in Lubbock, Texas. The MPSF Indoor Track and Field Championships will be held on Mar.1-2, 2026, in Reno, Nevada. The NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships will take place Mar. 13-14 at the Randal Tyson Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas for the first time since 2021.

The outdoor season begins with one of four home regular-season meets: the Beach Opener, on Mar. 6-7 on the Jack Rose Track. The Beach will then head to the Ben Brown Invite on Mar. 13-14 hosted by Cal State Fullerton. LBSU will then travel to Riverside, Calif. for the UC Riverside Spring Classic on Mar. 19-20.

Long Beach State will divide the team on Mar. 20-21 as they will enter both the West Coast Invitationals in Fresno and the Willie Williams Classic in Tucson, Ariz. The weekend of Mar. 27-28 will be a busy week of meets for the Beach as the team is entering USC's Ron and Sharlene Allice Trojan Invite, Bob Larson Distance Carnival, and the UCLA Legends Meet.

April 3-4 will be a busy weekend with Beach athletes competing in the Mike Fanelli Track Classic, Stanford Invitational, Jim Click Shootout, and the Triton Invite. LBSU will look to defend its Challenge Cup on Apr.10, as Cal State Fullerton will host at the Titan Track Complex.

After the Bryan Clay Invitational Apr. 15-16, the Beach will host the Pacific Coast Invitational at the Jack Rose Track on April 17-18 and the Beach Invitational to close out the regular season home meets. LBSU will also have athletes competing in the Mt. SAC Relays.

The regular season wraps up on May 1-2 as the team will split up to compete in both the Steve Scott Relays and the Desert Heat Classic.

The Beach will then get ready for the multis May 8-9 then come back to host the Big West Championship for track and field in back-to-back seasons.

The NCAA first rounds will be hosted by Arkansas in Fayetteville through May 27-30. The NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be hosted again in Oregon June 10-13.
