
Four Honored As All-Big West For Women’s Volleyball

Opposite Logan King received First Team and All-Freshman Team honors.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Big West announced All-Conference honors for the 2025 Women's Volleyball season, and the Beach had four players recognized for five awards after a strong campaign that saw Long Beach State tie for second place in the league.
Redshirt freshman opposite Logan King represented the Beach on the First Team. King finished the regular season tied for the Big West lead in both total kills and total points across the 2025 season. Leading Long Beach State in kills per set at 3.62, King had a hitting percentage of .277 and added 2.25 digs per set and 0.76 blocks per set on the year. King led all Big West Freshman in both kills and points per set during the 2025 season.
The Beach had two All-Big West second team honorees. Senior Elise Agi as selected to the second team for the second time in her career following a 2023 nod. Agi was second on the Beach at 2.93 kills per set, and was second on the team with 21 aces while making 2.50 digs per set, showing her all-around ability.
Sophomore Madi Maxwell also was picked for the second team as a setter. Transitioning into the role after playing as a pin hitter as a freshman last season, Maxwell guided the Beach to .244 hitting as a team while averaging 9.30 assists per set, leading the team with 25 aces and adding to the offense with 1.14 kills per set on the year. Maxwell was chosen for the Big West All-Freshman team in her first season at the Beach in 2024.
Freshman Sidney Hamaker was honored for the All-Freshman Team. The outside hitter from Oswego, Illinois, was third on the team in kills in 2025 with 212, averaging 2.28 per set for the Beach in her first season. King was also chosen for the All-Freshman Team after her phenomenal first year.
Long Beach State opens up The Hawaiian Islands presents the 2025 Outrigger Big West Women's Volleyball Championship on Wednesday, November 26, hosting (6) UC Irvine in the LBS Financial Credit Union Pyramid at 6 pm.
