Stewart sealed the win against No. 12 LMU scoring on sudden death.

LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Big West announced this Wednesday that sophomore Harper Stewart was awarded the final Big West Player of the Week of the season, the second in a row for Long Beach State.

Stewart is the fifth Beach player to claim league honors this year after a standout performance in the sudden-death win against No. 12 Loyola Marymount, 16-15. The lefty attacker had a perfect night of shooting with four goals in four attempts for a new career high. Stewart scored two key goals to help the Beach secure the win, one to tie in overtime and the game-winner in the sudden-death period.

Long Beach State (16-8) secured the top seed heading into the Big West Championships this weekend at UC Irvine and awaits its semifinal opponent between (4) UC San Diego and (5) UC Irvine.

Ball drops at noon for the semifinals at the Anteater Aquatics Complex, live on ESPN+, with live stats available through TheFOSH.net.
