Joe Jenness Named Men’s Water Polo Big West Player Of The Week

Jenness is the fourth Beach player to earn the weekly award this season
LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Big West announced Wednesday that sophomore Joe Jenness was awarded Big West weekly honors, the fourth for Long Beach State this season.
The Beach (15-8, 5-0 Big West) defeated No. 9 UC Davis, 11-4, to secure the regular-season title and clinch the No. 1 seed heading into the Big West Championships next week at UC Irvine.
Jenness held the Aggies to 13% shooting as he recorded 12 saves on the day. Coming off the bench in two other key wins, Jenness' second half of the season has been impressive, as the sophomore stepped up into the starting role this past game. This season, Jenness has recorded 98 saves while adding 15 steals and three assists.
No. 6 Long Beach State will finish the regular season with a non-conference matchup against No. 11 LMU on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the LBCC Aquatics Center. Live stats can be followed through TheFOSH.net.
