LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Big West announced Wednesday that junior Caleb Francisco was awarded Big West weekly honors, the third winner for Long Beach State this season. A first-team All-Big West selection in 2024, Francisco led the team with 11 goals in a pair of games at the LBCC Aquatics Complex.

The Beach (13-8, 3-0 Big West) split at home this past week as they hosted No. 5 Fordham, dropping a heartbreaker in sudden-death overtime, 16-15, and remained undefeated in conference play after defeating No. 15 UC Santa Barbara, 11-9.

Francisco tied the program's record for most goals scored in a single game with a new career high of eight goals against the Rams. The attacker also contributed a hat trick against the Gauchos while adding two field blocks and an assist on the week. Francisco ranks second on the team with 47 goals this season and recently surpassed the 100 career-goal milestone.

No. 9 Long Beach State will continue Big West play with the Black and Blue Rivalry at No. 15 UC Irvine on Thursday at 6 p.m. Live stats can be followed through theFOSH.net.
