Corbin Stanley Earns First Men’s Water Polo Big West Player Of The Week

Stanley scored 21 goals as No. 7 Long Beach State started the season 6-0.

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Junior Corbin Stanley earned the first Big West Player of the Week award this season for Men's Water Polo after the center helped lead Long Beach State to an unbeaten first weekend at the Triton Invite.

Stanley scored six goals against Bucknell, five goals against No. 8 Pepperdine in the key win of the weekend, and finished the weekend with 21 goals across five games as the Beach went a perfect 6-0 at the Triton Invite to start the season.

In the process, Stanley passed 100 goals scored in his career, as the preseason All-Big West pick led a strong start to the year for No. 7 Men's Water Polo.

Long Beach State returns to the renovated Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center for the first time since the 2024 season, hosting No. 2 USC on Friday Night before welcoming fans back for exhibitions with Golden West, Orange Coast and Beach Alumni on Saturday.
