Home Opener Pits Two Unbeaten Teams Against Each Other As Men’s Water Polo Hosts USC

No. 7 Long Beach State hosts No. 2 USC on Friday as the Beach returns to the Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center.

LONG BEACH, Calif. – No. 7 Men's Water Polo returns to the renovated Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center to host No. 2 USC in an exciting home opener between two teams off to excellent starts.

Long Beach State (6-0) spent last season away from the Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center as the pool underwent renovations, but returns to the campus facility on Friday, hosting USC (4-0) at 7 p.m. on Friday night. Both teams competed in the Triton Invite last weekend, and neither team took as loss as Long Beach State grabbed ranked wins over Saint Mary's and Pepperdine, while USC also defeated the Gaels and took down UC Santa Barbara in their ranked matchups.

Fans should expect a full house, and the game will also be broadcast live on ESPN+.

On Saturday, the team returns to the Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center for a packed day. The team will host Golden West College and Orange Coast College in a pair of exhibitions, and then welcome back their alumni for the annual alumni match in the afternoon. Action starts at 10 a.m. as the Beach hosts the Rustlers.
