Women’s Golf Closes Fall Competition At Rainbow Wahine Invitational

Long Beach State will play a fifth fall tournament, competing over three days starting October 20.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State Women's Golf will finish their fall competition schedule next week, facing 18 other schools at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational October 20-22.
Taking on the Ocean Course Hokuala on Kauai, the field is packed with 19 total teams, as the Beach will face the hosts, Hawai'i, along with Tulane, Baylor, Missouri, Santa Clara, Kansas, Kennesaw State, Eastern Michigan, San Diego State, Nevada, Boise State, Wyoming, Washington State, Idaho, Grand Canyon, Sacramento State, BYU, and a Japanese University, Osaka Gakuin.
Play will begin on Monday, October 20. Junior Erin Lee will lead the lineup after taking the top spot for the team in the last competition, as last year's All-Big West selection is aiming at a third Top 20 finish in the fall. Emma Kang shot a second-round 66 at the Golf Iconic Classic, and will play second, while Alyson Sor will play third for the Beach.
Freshman Chloe Park had the best finish of her young career in New Mexico last week, finishing in a tie for 22nd overall and will play fourth, while Madison Le, who was a late scratch in Las Cruces returns to the lineup in the fifth spot. Freshman Kailey Yoon will compete as an individual, finishing off a fall that has seen the young golfer compete in all five tournaments for the Beach.
