THE KICKOFF
Long Beach State returns to George Allen Field for matches against Power 4 opponents this week. 

Thursday night, the Beach welcomes the University of Washington to LBSU. Due to the heat advisory in Long Beach, the game has been pushed back 30 minutes to 7:30 p.m. Coverage remains on ESPN+.
 
The week concludes on Sunday at the University of Texas. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. PDT/6 p.m. PDT on SEC Network+ or ESPN+.

SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
Washington improved to 2-1-2 when the Huskies defeated NM State 2-0 on Sept. 1. Ioanna Papatheodorou and Samiah Shell scored twice this season to lead Washington. Radisson Banks and Anna Menti have also scored for UW this season. Six different players have recorded an assist for the Huskies in 2024.
 
Mia Hamant is 2-1-1 in goal with two shutouts for Washington. She has made 16 saves and recorded a 0.57 goals-against average. Olivia Juarez has started twice and has recorded one shutout with seven saves on her way to a 0.67 goals-against average.
 
AGAINST THE OPPONENT
Long Beach State and Washington are playing for the third time. The Huskies lead the all-time series 1-0-1.
 
SCOUTING THE LONGHORNS
Texas begins the week ranked 16th in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 and eighth in the Top Drawer Soccer Top 25. The Longhorns are 4-0-1 as the week gets underway. Texas hosts San Diego State Thursday night before welcoming LBSU to Austin.
 
Senior Lexi Missimo scored twice last weekend against Central Michigan to raise her career total to 48. She is Division I's active leader in several offensive categories, including career points (149). Trinity Byers leads the club in goals (5) and points (13). Jilly Shimkin has a team-high four assists. Mia Justus has played every minute in goal this season for Texas. She has made 21 saves and recorded four shutouts in the four UT victories.
 
AGAINST THE OPPONENT
Long Beach State and Texas are playing for the third time. The Longhorns lead the all-time series 2-0 after defeating LBSU 4-3 in Long Beach to open the 2023 season.
 
INGRASSIA WINS #200
Long Beach State head coach Mauricio Ingrassia won his 200th career match at the helm of the Beach on Aug. 31 when the Beach defeated Utah Valley 2-1. Ingrassia is 200-136-53 as the head coach at LBSU. Ingrassia is the 82nd active NCAA Division I women's soccer coach to win at least 200 in his career and the 175th Division I women's soccer coach to win at least 200 in their career.
