WALNUT, Calif.—
A school top ten highlighted Long Beach State track and field action on the final day of the Mt. SAC Relays Saturday at Hilmar Lodge Stadium.
 
MEN
Competing in the Elite 400m Hurdles, Omri Shiff lowered the ninth-fastest time in school history to 51.16. He finished seventh overall.
 
Kyle Jankans tied for eighth with two others in the Elite High Jump, clearing 6-9 3/4 before bowing out of the competition after missing his three attempts at 6-11 3/4.
 
Pablo Gamez threw a season-best 199-8 in the Collegiate Hammer Throw. He missed advancing to the finals by less than an inch. He would finish 10th in the field of 33.
 
Caleb Roberson ran a season-best 52.02 in the Elite 400m Hurdles to place 11th.
 
Kash Powell's 1:50.61 in the Elite 800m resulted in a 15th-place showing.
 
WOMEN
Giszelle Hrehor and Keeley Rasmussen were the lone Beach women on the Saturday docket. Both competed in the Collegiate Hammer Throw, which featured 29 entries. Hrehor finished 16th (173-2), while Rasmussen came in 21st (161-4).
 
UP NEXT
Long Beach State closes the regular season Apr. 26-27 at UC Irvine's Steve Scott Invitational.
