Bernstein Seventh; Denness-Lamont Finishes Ninth
Day 1 Results
WALNUT, Calif.—A pair of Long Beach State javelin throwers opened the Beach competition at the Mt. SAC Relays Thursday night at Hilmer Lodge Stadium.
Conrad Bernstein finished seventh in the Collegiate Men's Javelin with a toss of 189-8. UC Irvine's Logan Peyton won the event (216-3).
Rori Denness-Lamont's best in the prelims of the Elite Women's Javelin was 162-2, which ended up being ninth. UTEP's Arianne Morais won the event with the third-longest throw in Division I this season, 187-10.
The Mt. SAC Relays continue Friday, with competition beginning at 9 a.m.
