No. 7 Long Beach State Will Host No. 8 UC Irvine In Final Regular Season Contest

Following the game, Long Beach State will honor seven seniors.
LONG BEACH, Calif.- In their final home game of the season, No. 7 Long Beach State will host No. 8 UC Irvine at the Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center on Thursday at 7 p.m.
No. 7 Long Beach State (20-7, 5-1) will look to close out the regular season with a win and earn the #2 seed for the Big West Conference Tournament, after a big win over UC San Diego last week.
Senior Lara Luka continues to lead the Beach this season. Last week, she broke two school single season records. She broke the record for most goals in a season with 80 and counting, which previously was held by Stacy Black's 76 goals in 2000. Luka also has 48 assists so far this season, which surpassed Cassie Azevedo's 47 set in 2004.
No. 8 UC Irvine (16-10, 4-2) heads to Long Beach on a two-game win streak after picking up a win over Cal State Fullerton last week and currently sit in third place in conference. The Anteaters are led by Libby Alexander, who has 40 goals on the season.
Following the game, Long Beach State will recognize seven graduates. The Beach will honor Lara Luka, Anne de Kleer, Rachael Kowalchick, Mariah Walker, Amanda Price, Kathryn McCullough, and Nadja Novakic in their postgame ceremony.
