No. 7 Long Beach State On The Road At No. 11 UC San Diego In Pivotal Game

The Beach are 4-1 in conference and will look to secure sole possession of second place this Saturday.
LONG BEACH, Calif.-Â No. 7 Long Beach State is back on the road in their final away match of the regular season at No. 11 UC San Diego this Saturday at Noon. Both teams sit tied for second place in the Big West conference.
The Beach (19-7, 4-1) suffered their first conference loss last week to No. 2 Hawaii and are looking to bounce back in their final two regular season games. This will be the second time this season the Beach will face the Tritons, having played them at the Triton Invite in February. The Beach came out on top with a 16-9 win.
Rachael Kowalchick led all players last week with five total goals, including a season-high four goals in the win over No. 13 UC Davis. Sophomore Elisa Portillo reached 100 career goals during the match against UC Davis and added three more in the game against the Bows. Lara Luka leads the Beach in goals this season with 77. Defensively, Chelsea Oliver has been dominant in the goal with 150 saves.
UC San Diego (16-9, 4-1) will look to continue their Big West run after picking up two Big West wins over Cal State Fullerton and UC Santa Barbara last week. The Tritons are led by Caroline Christl, who ranks fifth in the Big West with 52 goals this season.
Saturday's game will take place at Noon. The contest will be broadcasted on ESPN+ and live stats will be provided at thefosh.net.
