SCOUTING THE RAINBOW WAHINE
Hawai'i clinched its first Big West regular season title Sunday night when UH defeated UC Santa Barbara 2-1 in Santa Barbara. The Rainbow Wahine are 7-1-1 (22 points) in Big West play, 11-7-1 overall.
Nalani Damacion is third in the Big West in goals (7) and points (14). All seven of her goals have been game-winners, ranking first in Division I in the category to begin the week. She has been named Big West Freshman of the Week five times this season, including this past Monday.

Kennedy Justin is 10-7-1 in goal for Hawai'i. She has made 66 saves, tying her with LBSU's Aurora Schuck for fifth in the Big West in the category. Justin and Schuck are tied for third in the Big West in shutouts with five. Justin has posted a 1.18 goals-against-average.

Winning their first Big West regular season title, Hawai'i (7-1-1, 22 points) has clinched home-field advantage throughout the championships. UC Davis (17, 5-2-2) and UC Santa Barbara (16, 4-2-4) have clinched Big West Championships berths.

Entering Thursday's play, Cal State Fullerton and Cal State Bakersfield are tied for fourth with 14 points (both are 4-3-2 in league play). UC Irvine is sixth with 13 (3-2-4). CSUN is seventh at 12 (3-3-3), followed by Long Beach State at 11 (3-4-2). Cal Poly is next with 10 (3-5-1). UC Riverside (4, 0-5-4) and UC San Diego (3, 0-6-3) have been eliminated from postseason contention.

In the final home match of 2024 on Oct. 20, Long Beach State played Cal State Fullerton in front of the fourth largest crowd in school history, 1,721.

On the opening night of the 2024 season, 1,604 people came through the turnstiles to see Long Beach State face UCLA. That attendance was the sixth largest in school history.

The Beach followed up with a crowd of 932 against Santa Clara on Aug. 22 and 906 against BYU on Aug. 24. LBSU drew 759 through the turnstiles against Washington on Sept. 5. 652 fans watched Long Beach State defeat Cornell 1-0 on Sept. 20, while 663 saw LBSU defeat UC Riverside 3-0 on Sept. 22.

717 fans watched the CSUN matchup on Sept. 26. On Oct. 10, Long Beach State welcomed 712 fans to George Allen Field. In the next-to-last home match of the year, on Oct. 13, against Cal State Bakersfield, 938 came to George Allen Field.
