Two Long Beach State Athletes To Compete At The 2024 European Championships

Current Long Beach State sophomore, Emma Seehafer, and former player, Orsi Hertzka, will represent Germany and France respectively.

LONG BEACH, Calif.- Seehafer and Hertzka were named to the final rosters to represent their nations in the upcoming European Championships in the Netherlands.

The 2024 edition of the European Championships will be the first one to be played by 16 teams after the proposed expansion was announced in March of 2023. Eight teams will move on to the Knockout bracket after pool play.

Emma Seehafer has been chosen to represent Germany. Orsi Hertzka, a 2022 graduate, will represent France as they both compete to be crowned the continent's best.

In addition to Germany and France, host the Netherlands will compete along with Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, and Turkey.
