This week the Beach will compete in back-to-back conference dual matches at Cal State Fullerton on Friday, April 7 and a home match against UC Santa Barbara on Saturday, April 8.   Â
ABOUT LBSU:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
Long Beach State enters the week with a (6-8, 2-2 Big West) overall record. Peppi Ramstedt leads the Beach with a 19-7 doubles record and a 4-0 conference doubles record. Ramstedt and Rhona Cook continue to hit from all cylinders. The tandem collected their 12th doubles victory on Thursday, March 30 against San Francisco. They are riding a five-match winning streak and currently own a 12-4 doubles record. Additionally, Sheena Masuda has dominated singles action. She has won six singles matches in a row and currently leads LBSU with a 15-9 singles record. Entering their dual matches this week, LBSU owns an impressive 44-18 record over Big West rival, Cal State Fullerton, while also owning a winning record over UC Santa Barbara, 27-16.    Â
ABOUT CAL STATE FULLERTON:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
The Titans come into the week with an 11-5 overall record. They are currently on a five-game winning streak, including a victory over conference foe, UC Davis on Friday, March 31. Cal State Fullerton will host Long Beach State this Friday as it will be their first and only meeting this dual season. For the year, Natalie Duffy has an 8-3 singles record while Camila Garcia owns a 9-3 doubles record. Â
ABOUT UC SANTA BARBARA:Â Â Â Â Â Â
The Gauchos are seeking their third conference victory of the season. After back-to-back losses to Hawai'i and San Diego, UC Santa Barbara looks to bounce back against UC Riverside on Friday, April 7 before they face Long Beach State on Saturday, April 8. For the season, Filippa BruuSyversen owns a 24-9 singles record while duo Shakhnoza Khatamova and Elizaveta Volodko own a 19-7 doubles record.  Â
LAST TIME OUT:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
In a scheduled busy week, Long Beach State experienced back-to-back days of inclement weather which resulted in cancelations of two dual matches on the road before dropping a tightly contested match at San Francisco, 4-3. The duo of Ramstedt and Cook extended their match winning streak to five while Sheena Masuda extended her singles winning streak to six in a row.  Â
