No. 12 Long Beach State to Host Senior Day Tri-Dual on LBSU Sand Courts

The Beach will play No. 18 Pepperdine and Cal State LA in the season’s final home matches.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State Beach Volleyball will play on their true home sand on Thursday as they host No. 18 Pepperdine and Cal State LA at the LBSU Sand Courts. The Beach will also be celebrating their seniors on their final home duals at home this season.

ABOUT THE BEACH
-- Long Beach State sports a 17-11 overall record as the season comes to an end in the next few weeks. They are coming off a 2-2 split weekend at home with wins over No. 16 FIU and Vanguard to go with a pair of losses against No. 10 Stanford.
-- The Beach is ranked No. 12 for the third consecutive week in the AVCA polls extending their streak to 94 consecutive weeks of being ranked as they have been featured in the rankings every year of their existence since 2013.
PLAYER NOTES
-- Malia Gementera and Taylor Hagenah continue to be a dominant force for the Beach in their first collegiate season. Sporting an overall record of 23-5, they have won 15 of their last 16 duals and already rank tied for sixth most single season victories in LBSU history. The all-time record is 27 wins from Jenelle Hudson/Megan Kruidhoff back in 2017.
-- Natalie Glenn has been a revelation in her first year with the Beach. For the season, she has played with three different partners and has posted a 23-4 (.852) overall record in her matches. It ranks as the highest individual win percentage on the team this season.
-- Similarly, Megan Widener and Maggie Walters have been outstanding in their first seasons at LBSU. Widener sports a 19-7 overall record playing primarily out of the fours while Walters is 17-6 primarily out of the fives. Each has played with three different partners on the year.
