This week, the Beach will compete in their last home match of the regular season against conference foe CSUN at Rhodes Tennis Center on Friday, April 14. Â
ABOUT LBSU:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
Long Beach State enters the week with a 7-9 overall record and a 3-3 Big West mark. Peppi Ramstedt leads the Beach with a 21-7 doubles record. Ramstedt and Rhona Cook continue their dominance in doubles play. The duo collected their 14th doubles victory on Saturday, April 8 against UC Santa Barbara. Both athletes are undefeated in conference play, owning a 6-0 doubles record. They are riding an impressive seven-match winning streak and currently own a 14-4 doubles record. Additionally, Justine Dondonay and Sheena Masuda have dominated singles action. Dondonay has won four singles matches in a row while Masuda leads LBSU with a 15-11 singles record. In program history, LBSU owns an impressive 36-13 record over CSUN.    Â
ABOUT CSUN:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
The Matadors come into the week with a 14-4 overall record and a 4-2 Big West mark. They recently fell to conference opponent, Cal State Fullerton in a tight 4-3 dual match on Saturday, April 8. CSUN looks to bounce back against Long Beach State and earn their fifth conference victory of the year. For the season, Yuliia Zhytelna owns a 12-4 singles record, while Angela Ho has a 12-3 doubles record.  Â
LAST TIME OUT:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
In back-to-back conference dual matches Long Beach State collected a 4-2 road victory over conference rival Cal State Fullerton before dropping a competitive home match against UC Santa Barbara, 4-3. Cook displayed a perfect weekend performance finishing 4-0 in doubles and singles action. Lastly, the duo of Ramstedt and Cook extended their minning streak to seven, while Dondonay extended her singles winning streak to four in a row.   Â
