Glenn and Walters Named First Big West Pair of the Week

The transfer duo of Natalie Glenn and Maggie Walters went undefeated on the first weekend of the season.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State's pair of Natalie Glenn and Maggie Walters were named the Big West Pair of the Week to start the 2023 season. The conference office announced the news on Monday.
Glenn, a transfer from Minnesota, and Walters, a UCLA transfer, paired together in flight number five for their LBSU debuts. Facing No. 6 Grand Canyon and No. 4 USC, they would go undefeated with a 2-0 record for the weekend.
Against the Lopes, they bounced back from a first set loss to win the second, 23-21, and the third, 15-11, for the Beach's second point of the match. They kept their momentum, they came out with a straight set victory over the defending national champion Trojans. The win gave LBSU their second point to tie it at 2-2 heading into the final flight.
