Long Beach State set for road trip against Harvard and Dartmouth this weekend.
WHAT'S COMING UP FOR LBSU WOMEN'S TENNIS:
Long Beach State (2-2, 2-0 Big West) at Harvard (5-5, 0-0 Ivy League)

WHAT'S COMING UP:
The Beach travels to the East Coast for a pair of non-conference dual matches. They begin their road trip on Friday February 24, 2023 at Murr Tennis Center and finish off their weekend on Saturday February 25, 2023 at Alexis Boss Tennis Center.
ABOUT LBSU:
For the season, Peppi Ramstedt leads the Beach with a 13-4 doubles record and Sarah Medik leads the Beach with an 11-8 singles record. Additionally, Peppi Ramstedt and Rhona Cook have started off strong in dual match season and currently own a 6-1 doubles record.
ABOUT HARVARD:
The Pilgrims are currently No. 60 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) team rankings, which is their highest ranking since 2017. Freshman, Charlotte Owensby is also ranked No. 85 in the ITA's singles rankings. At the ECAC Championship hosted by Dartmouth, Harvard finished in third place after a 4-1 victory over Columbia on Sunday February 12, 2023. For the season, Harvard has an overall 5-5 record. The Pilgrims lead the all-time series against the Beach 4-3.
ABOUT DARTMOUTH:
In their latest dual match, the Big Green fell short, 4-0, to Yale last week at the ECAC Championship. Dartmouth finished in sixth place and currently owns a 3-4 overall record for the season. Senior Emily Zhou leads her team with a 4-1 overall record in both singles and doubles competition. The Beach leads the all-time series against Dartmouth 7-1.
LAST TIME OUT:
During last weekend's dual match, Long Beach State fell short at home against San Diego State, 4-0.
It was a back-forth-match, but ultimately, LBSU fell short in four three-setters.
Alicia Melosch and Rania Azziz defeated Masuda and Dondonay in a 6-2 victory. Shortly after their win, duo Andjela Skrobonja and Andreea Velcea defeated Ramstedt and Cook by a score of 6-2 in doubles action.
Alicia Melosch earned her victory against Cook on court four by a score of 7-6, 6-2
On court one, Sarah Medik lost against Andjela Skrobonja falling by a score of 6-3, 2-6, 2-6.
On court five, Rania Azziz obtained a victory over Justine Dondonay, 6-2, 6-7, 6-2 .
TENNIS TRADITION:
The traditional player cheer pre-match and each time the team wins a match point is "Here We Go Beach" followed by all supporters in attendance then cheering the same "Here We Go Beach!"
