The women’s cross country team has been named an All-Academic Team by the USTFCCCA.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Long Beach State's women's cross country team has been named a USTFCCCA National All-Academic Team for the 2022 Cross Country season. With a team GPA of 3.282, they have now earned the award for the 26th consecutive year.
The Beach is the only Big West institution to receive the award in every year since its inception back in 1997. In fact, they are one of a small handful of teams in the entire nation that have received the honor in every year.
This year saw five Big West schools total being named National All-Academic Teams, but none have received it as many times as the Beach.
Head Coach Shawn Winget is also a perfect seven-for-seven on claiming the award since he took over the helm of the program back in 2016.
