A total of 12 program top ten marks were broken led by three from Kaitlyn Williams.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Long Beach State track and field team altered the program record books on a very successful day one of the Ralph Lindeman Invitational. Overall, 12 new top ten marks were set amongst the 30 student-athletes that competed.

Kaitlyn Williams was arguable the biggest standout posting three of the 10 marks on her own. She started her day with a 7.61aa in the 60m Dash (seventh all-time), then followed up with a Long Jump of 19' 2" (third all-time), and ended the day with a 24.54aa in the 200m (fourth all-time). In both the 60m and 200m races, she advances to the finals taking place tomorrow afternoon.

Rahni Turner improved on her lifetime-best 60m Hurdles mark from last season with a time of 8.54aa for third-best all-time. Hailey Fune, in the same race, joined her in the LBSU Top 5 ran an 8.65aa for fifth fastest all-time in the event. With those finishes, both advanced to the finals taking place tomorrow.

The women's throwers had a tremendous showing to begin the day as all three finished top five in the 20-pound Weight Throw and entered the program top ten. Malia Talavou led the way with a throw of 18.01m (59' 1.25") to finish second and move into fourth all-time. Giszelle Hrehor, in her collegiate debut, posted a mark of 16.65m (54' 7.5") to finish fourth in the event and eighth on the all-time list. The third and final thrower, Keeley Rasmussen, launched her throw 16.46m (54') for a fifth place finish and tenth best mark in program history.

Making their Beach debuts, the duo of Annie Murphy and Kyle Jankans already put themselves in the top five of their respective events in Long Beach State history. Murphy, a freshman, cleared 3.80m (12' 5.5") in Pole Vault for number five all-time and third in the standings while Jankans, a sophomore transfer, claimed the top spot of men's High Jump with a clearance of 2.14m (7' 0.25").

Novye James and Benjamin Ahenguah closed out the day by finishing one-two in men's Long Jump and move into fifth and sixth, respectively on the all-time list. James, in his LBSU debut, won the event with a jump of 7.41m (24' 3.75") less than an inch ahead of Ahenguah's second place mark of 7.39m (24' 3").
