Women’s Golf Rallies In Final Day At Coeur D’Alene Collegiate

Freshman Janae Leovao finished 3-under par Tuesday to lead Long Beach State in the tournament.
COEUR d'ALENE, Idaho – Long Beach State had their best round as a team on Tuesday in the final day of the Coeur d'Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational, climbing three spots to finish 11th overall in the 19 team field.
Freshman Janae Leovao had the best round of the tournament for Long Beach State, carding a 3-under par 68, finishing her collegiate debut with back-to-back birdies to finish just outside of the Top 10 in the tournament at 11th overall.
Junior Chloe Carraway also had a bounceback day, finishing even par in her best round of the tournament in the second-highest score of the day for Long Beach State. Fellow junior Hannah Ko and Jasmine Leovao were the other counting scores on the day, each with a 77.
Ko overall for the tournament finished second-best on the team in a tie for 42nd overall. Madison Le finished Sunday with a 79, but was the third overall finisher for the Beach over three rounds, tied for 50th overall, two strokes behind Ko.
Long Beach State is back in action next week, taking part in the Ptarmigan Ram Classic starting on Monday, September 26 in Fort Collins, Colo.
