ABOUT LAST WEEK
•   The Dirtbags won their final home series of the season taking two of three against Cal State Fullerton. It marks the second consecutive series win over the rival Titans, the first time Long Beach State has done that since the 2017 season.
•   Game one went to the 'Bags 5-4 with Eddie Saldivar's first career home run being the difference. The freshman connected for a two-run shot in the seventh to put the Dirtbags up by three with the bullpen holding off a ninth inning rally for the victory.
•   Saturday was a bit of a back-and-forth game with a two-run sixth against the Fullerton bullpen leading the Dirtbags to a 4-3 victory. Rocco Peppi led the way going 2-for-5 with a pair of RBI.
•   In the finale, the Long Beach State offense was stifled as Fullerton's Fynn Chester tossed a complete game shutout, needing just 76 pitches in the 3-0 victory. It was just the third time this season, the Dirtbags have been shutout.

ABOUT THE DIRTBAGS
•   Long Beach State enters the weekend series as winners in eight of their last 10 games and have won their last four weekend series. They sport a 26-27 overall record heading into the final weekend and are sixth in the Big West standings with a 14-13 record.
•   The rollercoaster of a year has consisted of seven wins over ranked opponents, three of which were Top 10 teams. Unfortunately it has also included separated six-game and ten-game losing streaks.
•   It's been the pitching staff leading the charge, with the most shutouts in the conference as well as the lowest WHIP and batting average against. Their ERA and and strikeout total ranks second in the Big West.
•   Offensively, they have been middle of the pack all season ranking seventh in batting average and eighth in total runs scored.
•   The defense has been stellar all year though leading the Big West with a .974 fielding percentage making the second fewest errors (48) in over 1800 chances.

ABOUT UC DAVIS
•   The Aggies enter the weekend with a 6-32 overall record and sit in eighth with a 5-22 Big West record. They are currently riding a four-game losing streak after being swept by Cal Poly this past weekend.
•   Offensively, they own a .240/.328/.336 slash line averaging 4.37 runs per game. They have just one regular hitting over .300 with Mark Wolbert a .345 clip to go along with a .921 OPS. Nick Leehey owns five of the team's 17 home runs to go along with a team-leading 29 RBI.
•   The pitching staff owns a team ERA of 7.70 in 327.1 innings pitched while opponents are hitting .323 against them. Of players to appear in five or more games, none have an ERA under 4. Bryan Green's 66 innings is the most and his 5.59 ERA is the lowest among pitchers with six or more appearances.

HISTORY AGAINST THE AGGIES
•   By the end of this weekend, the Dirtbags and Aggies will have played 53 games against each other in the programs' histories. Long Beach State leads the all-time series 34-16 and have won four straight after sweeping them last season.
•   When playing in Davis, the Dirtbags are 13-11 but have lost their last three games after being swept in their 2019 series.
