Kennedy, Stevens Earn Big West Weekly Honors

For the second consecutive week, LBSU had the Big West Pair of the Week.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – For the second week in a row, Long Beach State earned conference weekly honors as Katie Kennedy and Sydney Stevens were named the Big West Pair of the Week.
The duo led the Beach to a perfect 4-0 weekend to end the regular season with four straight wins and winners in nine of their final 11 matches.
Playing in the second flight, Kennedy and Stevens went undefeated including an upset victory over No. 4 Loyola Marymount on Friday. The duo took the point for the Beach with a three-set victory against the Lions' number two pair.
They also picked up a straight set victory over Cal State Los Angeles on Friday, before closing out the season with clean victories over CSUN and CSU Bakersfield on Saturday.
Kennedy and Stevens finished the regular season with a 12-6 record as a pair, the fourth most among all the pairs for Long Beach State this season.
