Beach Tennis Hosts UC Irvine for Final Home Match on Saturday

The Beach goes head-to-head with the Anteaters on Saturday, April 23
LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Long Beach State Women's Tennis team is set to host
their last home match of the season as they compete in a Big West Conference match
against UC Irvine on Saturday, April 13 at 11 a.m. at Rhodes Tennis Center. The Beach
will also recognize Zara Lennon in a senior day ceremony prior to the contest.
The Beach is coming off a narrow loss to CSUN, 4-3, last week. Although losing the
doubles point at the beginning of the day, the young Beach team showed their grit and
determination forcing a number of third sets in singles action.
Long Beach State is looking to continue to use their setbacks as motivation going a very
important conference match.
Overall, Long Beach State is 8-9 overall and 3-5 in Big West action. UC Irvine currently
holds an 8-13 overall record and is 1-6 in Big West.
