Results

Entering the day with the second-fastest time in the women's 3000m Steeplechase, Fick improved on her lifetime-best. Her time of 10:21.59 not only beat her previous best by five seconds, but surpassed the Long Beach State record by over a second. The junior finished sixth overall and first among all Big West competitors.

The mark had been untouched for a decade as Jessica Barnard owned the top spot since the 2012 season until Fick broke it on Wednesday afternoon.

Ricky Villa also competed in the 3000m Steeplechase for the men's team. The senior posted a time of 9:25.28 finishing seventh among the Big West runners. His time was three one-hundredths of a second shy of his lifetime-best finishing 51st overall.

Long Beach State continues their busy week tomorrow with the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate at the Jack Rose Track as well as the 5000m races at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
