Spring Season Continues For Women’s Golf At Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational In Hawaii

Long Beach State will bring the same lineup to compete against the 10-team field.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – One week after finishing the hosting of The Gold Rush, Long Beach State's women's golf team is back in action, taking part in the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational hosted by Hawai'i in Oahu.
Played at the Hoakalei Country Club in Ewa Beach, Long Beach State will face the hosts and eight other programs at the Thompson Invitational, which is scheduled to begin on Monday, March 7 and continue through Tuesday, March 8.
UC Riverside will join the Rainbow Wahine and the Beach representing the Big West, while California Baptist, Grand Canyon, Gonzaga, Louisiana-Monroe, Nevada, Sacramento State and Wyoming will also be taking part.
Long Beach State will bring the same lineup as from The Gold Rush into this week's competition. Sophomore Angelina Kim improved her score in all three rounds of The Gold Rush and will look to carry that momentum forward, as will junior Hunter Pate, who as Long Beach State's top finisher at Old Ranch Country Club, finishing 18th overall in the 73 player field.
Sophomore Vanessa Richani was Long Beach State's third finisher at The Gold Rush, and will hold that spot again in Oahu. Freshman Kristina Ponomareva and sophomore Hannah Ko round out the lineup for Long Beach State.
