The Beach Defeats UC Davis To Open Big West Play

Long Beach State picks up 4-3 win against the Aggies.
Long Beach, Calif. – Long Beach State opened Big West play with a 4-3 victory against UC Davis Saturday afternoon at Rhodes Tennis Center.
In the first flight of doubles play, Sheena Masuda and Zara Lennon defeated the Aggies' Yana Gurevich and Arianna Stavropoulos 6-2 to give the Beach (1-1, 1-0 Big West) an early advantage.
Peppi Ramstedt and Claire Le Du clinched the double point defeating Olive Maunupau and Carly Schwartzberg, 6-4I
In singles play, Nikola Homolkova defeated Sara Tsukamoto 6-1, 6-4. Gurevich tied the match to cut the Beach's lead to 2-1 with four matches remaining.
Le Du and Ramstedt each defeated their opponent to secure the victory.
