Women’s Tennis Continues Big West Play Against UC San Diego This Week

After a win against UC Riverside last week, the Beach is ready to take on another conference match on Saturday
LONG BEACH, Calif. - Long Beach State (2-3, 2-0 Big West) will host UC San Diego (2-7, 1-3 Big West) Saturday,
Feb. 26 at noon at Rhodes Tennis Center.
Coming off a conference road win, the Beach is 2-0 in Big West play. The young team, which is comprised of seven
freshmen, is committed to working together and turning in a strong showing against the Tritons.
"After being on the road for a couple weeks, we are looking forward to playing at home," said head coach Jenny Hilt-
Costello.
Top flight doubles team Zara Lennon and Sheena Masuda (6-3) look to continue their momentum from last week,
defeated Mahli Silpachai and Hanh Pham, 6-2, to help win the crucial doubles point.
After winning her singles flight last week, Freshman Nikola Homolkova (10-11) will be back on the court looking to
lead the Beach in another solid performance.
