No. 13 Long Beach State Picks Up Two Wins To Start Fresno Invite

The Beach defeated No. 15 Pacific and Fresno Pacific.
Fresno, Calif. — The Long Beach State women's water polo team picked up wins against No. 15 Pacific and Fresno Pacific to start Fresno Invite play on Saturday.
Against the Tigers, Anne De Kleer scored four goals as the Beach outscored Pacific 6-2 in the second and third periods after being tied 2-2 after the first.
Orsi Hertzka scored three goals and Chelsea Oliver had 10 saves in the cage as the Beach opened the day with a win.
The Beach (6-6) continued their hot scoring as Long Beach State jumped out to a 5-0 lead after the first period.
LBSU went on to lead wire-to-wire outscoring the Sunbirds 15-5 in the final three periods.
It was an impressive showing for the Beach as 11 athletes scored while finishing the contest with a .541 shooting percentage.
The Beach will be back in action on Sunday when they take on No. 17 Indiana and No. 8 Fresno State.
LBSU will take on Indiana at 9 a.m.
