Beach Volleyball Ranked No. 14 in CBVB Preseason Poll

The Beach will open the season as the number 14 team in the country by CBVB.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State Beach Volleyball was ranked No. 14 in the CBVB Preseason Poll which was released on Monday.
The Beach were consistently in the top 20 last season reaching as high as No. 15 and ending the season as the No. 18 team in the country. Among schools in the Big West Conference, they are ranked third behind Cal Poly and Hawai'i which rank 10 and 11, respectively.
LBSU returns eight of their starting ten at the conference championships last year and welcomes in four new faces for the 2022 season. Among the returners are All-Big West First Team recipients Mari Molina, Skyler Germann, Katie Kennedy, and Nicci Reinking.
The Beach will open the season on Thursday, Feb. 24 against the defending national champions as top-ranked USC comes to Long Beach for a match at the LBSU Sand Courts. First serve as scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
