Men’s Water Polo Continues Golden Coast Conference Play At San Jose State

The Beach will face the Spartans on Saturday to try and keep their league winning streak alive.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Fresh off of a dominant conference road win, Men's Water Polo continues Golden Coast Conference play away from home this weekend, taking on No. 14 San Jose State at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 5.
No. 7 Long Beach State rolled out to a big first half lead and ultimately took down No. 9 Pepperdine 17-10 on the road in Malibu to close out the week last weekend, and improved to 2-1 in Golden Coast Conference action, one game off of the pace in the league standings.
Garrett Zaan finished with four goals for Long Beach State against the Waves, and now has 43 goals on the year, second-most on the team and is seven goals away from becoming 16th player in school history to reach 150 career goals, a mark that Rafael Real Vergara reached earlier this year.
Also nearing a career milestones is goaltender Andrej Bosanac, who with four saves against the Spartans will become the eighth keeper in school history to record 500 career saves.
