Long Beach State Projected To Finish Fourth In Preseason Poll

The Beach received 19 points in survey of head coaches.
Long Beach, Calif. — Long Beach State is projected to finish fourth in Big West play after a preseason poll of the conference's head coaches on Friday.
The Beach finished with 19 points, four points shy of UC San Diego. UC Irvine is the favorite to win the Big West, with Hawai'I finishing second.
LBSU returns Lena Kotanchyan who earned All-American honors last season. The Beach also welcomes back Orsi Hertzka and Marilia Mimidi.
The Beach kicks off the 2022 season Jan. 22 during the Beach Invite at Ken Lindgren Aquatics Center.
