Hole In One From Hunter Pate Highlights Rainy Second Day For Women’s Golf

A lengthy rain delay halted round two in progress at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic.
WOLCOTT, Colo. – Hunter Pate started off the day with a bang, hitting a hole-in-one on the Par 3 10th hole of the Red Sky Golf Club as the second round of play started on Tuesday but ultimately was halted after a lengthy rain delay.
Pate's ace of the 140-yard 10th hole was a highlight of the day, which was otherwise marred by heavy rains which necessitated a multiple hour rain delay as most of the LBSU contingent was making the turn.
Sophomore Vanessa Richani continued her strong play and is currently sitting in a tie for 29th overall, even par after 17 holes. Chloe Carraway was able to complete her round, three-over par to sit in second among the LBSU players as did Angelina Kim.
Along with Richani, Pate and Hannah Ko each have one hole to finish in the morning before starting the third round. The Beach sits in 15th, but some teams have completed their second rounds while others have as many as seven holes left to play after the long weather break.
