Rafael Real Veragara Named GCC Player of The Week

The junior scored 15 goals as the Beach remained unbeaten moving to 8-0.
Long Beach, Calif. — Long Beach State junior Rafael Real Vergara was named the Golden Coast Conference player of the week on Thursday after a solid performance at the Inland Empire Classic.
Real Vergara scored six goals to lead the beach to a 15-14 win over No. 19 and 2018 NCAA Tournament opponent, Pomona-Pitzer.
This is the junior's first GCC award since Nov. 21, 2021 and the second of his career. It's also the second time this season a Beach athlete has earned the honors after Andrej Bosanac last week.
