Long Beach State Set for Exhibitions Against CBU and LMU

The Beach returns to the pitch with a pair of exhibitions, taking on California Baptist on Aug. 9 and Loyola Marymount on Aug. 12.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State women's soccer is back in action for their first fall action since October of 2019. Their first games of 2021 will be a pair of exhibitions against California Baptist on Monday, August 9 and Loyola Marymount on Thursday, August 12.
Both games are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at George Allen Field. Fans not in attendance will be able to follow the action via live stats or live on ESPN+ (paid subscription). For tickets, visit longbeachstate.com/tickets or call/text (562) 985-4949.
The Beach returns all 25 student-athletes that were set for the 2020 campaign (15 of those played in 2019) and welcome in 10 new incoming freshman. Among the key returners are Elysia Laramie, Kaitlin Fregulia, and Aleea Caceres.
Laramie was a First Team All-Big West selection after leading LBSU with six goals in 2019. Fregulia was a Second Team All-Big West selection and will lead the defense once again in her final collegiate season. Caceres was All-Big West Freshman Team selection after appearing in all 17 games with 13 starts and scoring two points out of the midfield.
Long Beach State opens the regular season with six straight matches on the road beginning Thursday, Aug. 19 with a non-conference matchup at CSUN. Their first regular season match at George Allen Field will be Sep. 16 against Montana.
