No. 16 Beach Drops Friday Contest Against No. 9 GCU

No. 16 Long Beach State saw their losing streak extended to three straight matches against No. 9 Grand Canyon.
NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – No. 16 Long Beach State (11-11) fell to No. 9 Grand Canyon (13-5) on Friday afternoon. The loss marks the third straight for the Beach.
The Lopes wasted no time taking the dual winning the first three flights.
Skyler Germann and Alice Pratesi put up a fight in the fourth flight forcing a third set against the Lopes, while Katie Kennedy and Nicci Reinking fell victim to a comeback to fall in three sets.
Mari Molina and Tyler Spriggs got back to their winning ways after losing to Pepperdine on Wednesday, earning the only point for LBSU in straight sets.
The Beach will be back in action tomorrow for a rematch with the Lopes followed by a dual with Big West foe, CSUN.
