Beach In 15th After First Day At Arizona Wildcat Invitational

Freshman Angelina Kim shot an even par 72 in the second round to pace the team.
TUCSON, Ariz. – Freshman Angelina Kim's even-par 72 in the second was the highlight of the day, as the Beach battled against a large field at Sewailo Golf Club at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational.
Kim led the Beach after the first two rounds behind her excellent second round that featured four birdies. She ended the day tied for 30th overall after a first round 77. The top scores for Long Beach State in the first round of the day belonged to senior Holland Shourds and sophomore Hunter Pate. Shourds shot a 74 in the first round, and Pate was one stroke behind as Shourds also finished the day in the Top 40 along with Kim.
Chloe Carraway was the fourth scorer for the Beach shooting 78 and 79, while fellow freshman Vanessa Richani rounded out the lineup for the Beach.
