Senior Holland Shourds recorded the low round of the tournament for the Beach, a 1-under 71 on Tuesday.

TUCSON, Ariz. – With three tournaments in three weeks, Long Beach State closed off a busy stretch to resume competition with the final round of the Arizona Wildcat Invitational at the Sewailo Golf Club on Tuesday.

                Senior Holland Shourds had a nice round to finish the tournament, carding a one-under par 71 with five birdies on the day to record the low round of the tournament for the Beach. Shourds tied for 26th overall in the 80-player field.

                Freshman Angelina Kim led the Beach through two rounds, and placed second for Long Beach State after a final round 75 to finish in a tie for 36th overall. Hunter Pate, Chloe Carraway and Vanessa Richani finished in that order for LBSU to round out the day's action.

                The Beach finished in 15th place in the 16 team field, besting Iowa. Texas were the runaway winners of the tournament, finishing 28-under as a team.

Long Beach State is now off until the month of April, when the Beach will bounce back into action with two rounds of the Black and Blue Challenge against UC Irvine.
