No. 19 Beach Sweeps UC Davis, Upsets No. 10 Hawaii

No. 19 ranked Long Beach State closed out their weekend in San Luis Obispo with two more wins including an upset of No. 10 Hawaii.
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – No. 19 ranked Long Beach State (10-7) came out with a pair of big wins to close out their weekend in San Luis Obispo. The Beach swept UC Davis, 5-0, in their first dual of the day and then upset No. 10 Hawaii, 3-2.
In the first match, Skyler Germann and Alice Pratesi secured the dual victory in the fourth flight winning their matchup in straight sets.
In the final dual of the weekend, the Beach and Rainbow Wahine battled. The Beach got out to a strong start picking up the first two points of the match. However, Hawaii would bounce back and win the next two setting up a winner-take-all matchup in the first flight between the duo of Mari Molina and Tyler Spriggs and Hawaii's Brooke Van Sickle and Amber Igiede.
The Rainbow Wahine jumped out to the early lead winning the first set and led in the second, but Molina and Spriggs battled back to take the second and third sets giving Long Beach State the victory.
