No. 19 Long Beach State Sweeps Colorado Mesa, Concordia

No. 19 ranked LBSU Beach Volleyball enjoyed consecutive clean sweeps of Colorado Mesa and Concordia on Tuesday.
IRVINE, Calif. – No. 19 ranked Long Beach State (6-6) got back to a .500 record with back-to-back sweeps of Colorado Mesa and Concordia on Tuesday.
The Beach was perfect in their matches, not dropping a single set to the Mavericks, nor the Eagles.
Against CMU, Mari Molina and Tyler Spriggs had to battle a bit going an extra point in the first set but came back and took the second set without any issues.
Katie Kennedy and Nicci Reinking secured the dual for the Beach dominating the second flight, 21-12 and 21-14.
The host Eagles were next on the schedule and once again, the Beach won all six matchups in straight sets.
Just as they did in the first match of the day, Kennedy and Reinking won the dual clinching point with a straight set win in flight two.
Long Beach State will look to carry the momentum into the weekend where they will face their fellow Big West institutions.
