No. 18 Long Beach State will host a tri-dual with Boise State and Utah at the LBSU Sand Courts on Friday.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – No. 18 Long Beach State will host a tri-dual with Boise State and Utah at the LBSU Sand Courts this Friday. The Beach will look to snap their current five-match losing streak.
LBSU will start the day against Boise State at 10:00 a.m. on Friday and then take on Utah at 2:00 p.m.
Long Beach State has had a tough go of it posting a 2-6 record thus far. However, seven of those eight matches have been against top twenty programs, five of which were ranked in the top ten, so it has been against a very tough schedule.
Last week, the Beach went to Los Angeles for a tri-dual with USC and LMU. LBSU would go lose both matches falling to the No. 7 ranked Lions, 3-2, and being swept by the No. 1 ranked Trojans.
Skyler Germann and Alice Pratesi had another solid week going 1-1 with a dual win against LMU. They are now a team-best 6-2 this season, with both losses coming against USC.
Mari Molina and Tyler Spriggs were the only other duo to pick up a point for the Beach in the two matches, taking down the Lions' number ones in three sets.
