Men’s Golf Kicks Off 2021 at the Nick Watney Invitational

Long Beach State will begin spring competition on Monday, Feb. 8 in Fresno, Calif.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – After an 11-month hiatus due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Long Beach State men's golf is back in action as the Beach kick off the 2021 season at the Nick Watney Invitational in Fresno, Calif.
The Beach will tee off on Monday, Feb. 8 at Sunnyside Country Club sending Hunter Epson, Clay Seeber, Isaac Rodea, Tyler Schafer, and Hunter Reed to the green to represent LBSU. The first two rounds will take place on Monday, while the final round will be played on Tuesday, Feb. 9.
In addition to the Nick Watney Invitational, fourth-year head coach Michael Wilson has a competitive schedule lined up for the Beach as Long Beach State will compete in five other tournaments this season prior to the Big West Championships.
Next week, LBSU will participate in competition at the Prestige (Feb. 15 and 16) in La Quinta, Calif., before taking part in the Sacramento State Invitational (March 1 and 2). The Beach will continue action at the Bandon Dunes Championships, hosted by Idaho, in Bandon, Ore. (March 7-9), before heading to Phoenix, Ariz., to compete in the Wyoming Cowboy Classic (April 5 and 6). LBSU will conclude the regular season at the El Macero Classic in Davis, Calif., on April 10, 11, and 12, before heading to the Big West Championships in La Quinta, Calif., on May 2, 3, and 4.
