Women’s Golf To Lead In Return To Spring At Lamkin Invitational

The golf teams have received the go-ahead to proceed with their first tournaments starting on Monday.

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State's women's golf team will be one of the first to return to action, competing February 8-9 at the Lamkin Invitational, hosted by San Diego State.

                The Lamkin Invitational will be held at the Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., and will feature two rounds of play on Monday followed by a final round on Tuesday.

                Long Beach State will face off against a strong field that features TCU, Arizona, Colorado, UCLA, USC, Washington State, Tulane and New Mexico along with the hosts and two other Big West schools in UC Irvine and Hawai'i.

                Leading the way for LBSU in the event will be a key returner in Holland Shourds. The senior has elected to return for another season, and will take the top spot for the Beach in this event. She'll be joined by another returning veteran in sophomore Hunter Pate. Incoming freshman Angelina Kim will make her debut for the Beach, while two more returners will round out the lineup in freshmen Vanessa Richani and Khameryn Utu.
