Women’s Golf Continues Season At Bruin Wave Invitational

Long Beach State will compete in the event for the first time since 2015.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – For the first time since 2015, Long Beach State will compete at the Bruin Wave Invitational, co-hosted by Pepperdine and UCLA at The Saticoy Club in Somis, Calif.
Held over three days beginning on March 1, the Bruin Wave Invitational will feature a large field, with 16 teams competing in one round per day with tee times beginning at 8 a.m. The field features over half of the Pac-12 with seven teams competing including the hosts UCLA with Washington, Washington State, Oregon, Oregon State, Colorado and Arizona State joining the field.
Big West rivals Cal Poly and Cal State Fullerton will also be in the field, which is rounded out by co-hosts Pepperdine, Colorado State, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Nebraska, Northwestern and San Diego State.
The Beach will turn to the same five players that competed last week at The Gold Rush, led by top finisher and senior Holland Shourds. Shourds will take the top spot in the lineup for the third time this season, while the No. 2 spot will be held by fast-rising Chloe Carraway. Angelina Kim will continue to play third, while sophomore Hunter Pate and freshman Vanessa Richani round out the LBSU contingent.
