Long Beach State Holds Spot After Second Day At Aggie Invitational

A shorthanded Beach squad finished the day in a three-way tie for sixth place after Round Two.
LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Vanessa Richani and Chloe Carraway led the way for LBSU as the Beach overcame some adversity to close the second of three days in a three-way for sixth place at the Aggie Invitational.
Richani had the low score of the day for Long Beach State, shooting an even-par 72, while Carraway was one stroke higher at 73, and sits in a tie for 21st overall in the tournament, best on the Beach.
Hunter Pate and Angelina Kim both carded scores of 76 on the day, and Richani and Pate both sit in the Top 30 in the field along with Richani.
All four scores ended up counting for the Beach as Hannah Ko was forced to withdraw after six holes due to a shoulder injury. Kristina Ponomareva, who shot a 78 on the day, was entered into the field as an individual and will continue to play as such on Wednesday.
