Women’s Golf Charges Up Leaderboard In The Clash At Boulder Creek

A strong day from Angelina Kim highlighted a team effort that saw the Beach move up five spots.
BOULDER CITY, Nev. – Long Beach State closed out the second of three days at The Clash At Boulder Creek on Monday by moving up five spots on the leaderboard into ninth place overall after putting up a team score under 300 on the day.
Hosted by Northern Arizona at Boulder Creek Golf Course, the Beach had a solid second day led by sophomore Angelina Kim. Kim finished the day with an even par 72, and after two rounds the sophomore is in 13th place overall in the field.
Chloe Carrarway followed up her low team round yesterday with a 77 on Monday, finishing the day 38th overall in the field. Hunter Pate and Vanessa Richani each carded scores of 75 to help the Beach move up the leaderboard. Kristina Ponomareva shot 80 for the second straight day to round out the LBSU lineup.
The Beach was one of four teams in the 18 team field to score under 300 on Monday, and will have a chance to move up even more during the final round. Live scoring for the tournament's last day will be available via BirdieFire at https://birdiefire.com/tournament/72137/.
